Familias, vecinos, exalumnos y niños de todo el distrito le pidieron a BVSD votar no a su plan de cierres. BVSD lo aprobó por 5 votos a 2 el 22 de septiembre. Aquí una voz:

Flatirons Elementary is a celebrated hub for both education and community-building in this neighborhood I've called home for 20 years. As a former BVSD elementary school teacher (three years teaching grades 3-5 at the Gold Hill School) and as a former member of the district's Teacher Advisory Board I have witnessed too many short-sighted decisions made by the district that adversely affected district students and parents. In my opinion, the short-term cost savings here do not appear to justify the long-term actions implied in this plan.
