Our child had an exceptional experience at Douglass during elementary school, and their favorite teacher of all time was from those formative years. The Douglass teachers, staff, and community are strong and supportive. It's not by happenstance that it is recognized as a high performing school. Douglass being the neighborhood school played a key part in our choice to buy a home in the school's catchment area so that we felt secure in knowing a place at Douglass Elementary was guaranteed. Where was the community engagement process before this drastic announcement?
