Familias, vecinos, exalumnos y niños de todo el distrito le pidieron a BVSD votar no a su plan de cierres. BVSD lo aprobó por 5 votos a 2 el 22 de septiembre. Aquí una voz:

I attended Douglass for my Elementary education. I absolutely loved the school and all of the faculty, it is a time I look back on frequently with fondness. I would be devastated for this lovely school and community to lose such a pillar of education. There is no good reason that Douglas’s should be closed. It would only bring undue hardship to the kids, parents, and city.
