I constantly raved about how amazing and special my school was including my teachers, the special projects and learning opportunities we had, the incredible friendships I made. The community of Douglas is so special and I know that it continues to this day as I have since nannied several kids that attended Douglas and have gone back to see some of my favorite teachers who have a lasting impact on who I have become today. I have no idea why BVSD would be considering the closure of this incredible school, however, I stand by this petition in that it should be given proper attention, evaluation, and time before a decision like this is made that impacts the lives and futures of so many young kids.
