We all fell in love with Douglass for the warm and welcoming community, the incredibly talented teachers, the leadership of Mr. Wolfer, and the beautifully rigorous, child-centered and joyful education in which she was immediately immersed. We were devastated and shocked to read the news on Tuesday and know so many students and families in our neighborhood and beyond who have been connected to Douglass. It has had an tremendous impact on all those we know who experienced it, and we would like to do anything we can to support efforts toward keeping it open and to ensuring this is a wonderful year for all of our children.
