Familias, vecinos, exalumnos y niños de todo el distrito le pidieron a BVSD votar no a su plan de cierres. BVSD lo aprobó por 5 votos a 2 el 22 de septiembre. Aquí una voz:

Please take pause and consider the role Flatirons Elementary school plays in our neighborhood and how our community will forever change without it. This school binds us and brings us together...especially families. Everyone who has had any connection to this special place will mourn it's loss, and, sadly, there will be little attraction for future families to make their home here. Please don't take our school away. Please don't forever change our neighborhood.
