Escríbale a la Junta →Douglass has been part of our family's life since PK, and years of PTO work have shown me exactly how much this community pours into it. This is a critical neighborhood school. The friendships kids build in class carry into their neighborhoods, and parents who meet at drop-off end up volunteering side by side for years. It is one of the most special things I have been a part of. Four weeks isn't enough time to undo that, especially for a school that never met the district's own criteria for closure review. These are real kids and real families. Please follow your own process, or pause the vote until you can show us the work.
