Better Plan BVSD · BVSD votes Sept 22
Engaged, or managed?
If BVSD “is the place to be,” it must also be a place where families are heard, not handled.

BVSD claims they are listening to our community, but their own internal emails tell a different story.
In April, BVSD said it was engaging the public to listen, understand the challenges, and get to the core of the issue. But CORA-released emails show senior district staff were already assembling data and shaping visuals.
Worse, the firm BVSD hired was brought in for public communications, not independent analysis.
Were our families being engaged, or were we being managed?
Now, the district has abandoned its established timelines and criteria to rush this proposal through before the public can examine the facts. Why?
School closures have irreversible consequences. Our kids deserve transparency and understanding, not a pre-designed outcome.
Urge BVSD to vote no on this rushed proposal.
Before Sept 22
There’s more to the story.
The ask is simple
Vote No. Finish the Plan. Get It Right.
BVSD votes on Sept 22. Tell them families deserve to be heard before a decision this big, not after.
