Write to the Board →Yes, the cost for families to have to drive larger distances is just more footprint to the existing functional design of our school systems. Also, it devalues properties within the 3 mile radius of Douglas. Our child is now a graduate of Boulder Valley school District. I understand the pain that it causes. There can be more creative solutions to keeping Douglas going and should be further reviewed rather than just changing this and closing the school.
