Write to the Board →Birch serves many families in my neighborhood. We have lived here 27 years and we have more young families than recent years and Birch school was one of the main reasons they chose this neighborhood. I see many children walking and biking to school and it certainly would concern me knowing these same students would literally have to cross busy streets, especially with the increased building resulting in more traffic, to access another school. Closing a school where the current enrollment meets standards, would result in over crowding in another school increasing teacher student ratio, and decreasing children’s safety just doesn’t make any sense!
