Parents, neighbors, alumni and kids across the district asked BVSD to vote no on its school-closure plan. BVSD approved it 5–2 on September 22. Here’s one voice:

I was a Douglass student from 93’-97’. I am still friends with many of the kids I met there. Douglass has a unique community that creates strong and lasting relationships. I always considered my elementary education to be exceptional, with some teachers still family friends. Don’t let this special place shut down.
