Parents, neighbors, alumni and kids across the district asked BVSD to vote no on its school-closure plan. BVSD approved it 5–2 on September 22. Here’s one voice:

Douglass is a beautiful school, serving a number of communities in Boulder County, and it was completely re-done several years ago. It should still be able to serve the communities for which it was intended, and which it has served for many years. There are a lot of families with young children within its current school community, who should have the opportunity to attend Douglass.
