Parents, neighbors, alumni and kids across the district asked BVSD to vote no on its school-closure plan. BVSD approved it 5–2 on September 22. Here’s one voice:

Neighborhood schools are important for communities. It is beneficial for the students as well as the parents. Families take pride in their local schools and value them within the neighborhood. Also, Boulder prides themselves for being a green city. Closing local schools contributes to more driving and congestion that Boulder does not need.
