Our South Boulder community will be most affected by these school closures. Have you researched longitudinal studies on the effects of school closures and their impact on a community? The most recent Stanford research reveals that school closures do not save money and that the negative consequences may outweigh the good. Also, the biggest question is: what are your plans for the buildings? If you don't have a plan, this massive change seems incredibly misguided. People buy homes in our area because of the school options we have. I can't guarantee the future, but I can almost guarantee that families will not choose an overcrowded school for a home that is 1M+.
