This feels like too quick a decision. My husband went to Douglass when it was Platte and all of our kids went to Douglass. That in itself doesn’t mean the school should stay open of course, but it has an historic importance in Boulder County. There was hardly any notice about the closure of a school that many people in the county have deep ties to. I have kept up with the ranking of the school, the faculty and staff, and it’s a gem of a school.
