Parents, neighbors, alumni and kids across the district asked BVSD to vote no on its school-closure plan. BVSD approved it 5–2 on September 22. Here’s one voice:

Please don’t close our children’s school. To the district, it may be just a building - but to our kids, it is their whole world. It is where they learn to read, have found their best friends, and are loved by teachers who know their hearts. They should not have to say goodbye to their classrooms, their traditions, and the people who make them feel safe. Once a school community is broken apart, it can never truly be put back together.
