I am shocked by this proposal. Our fairview estates neighborhood is just turning over to these young families who have moved into this area largely so they can send their kids to Douglass elementary. Our 4 daughters all attended Douglass and are stunned that such a high functioning school would be considered for closing the doors. A PUBLIC school is needed for this area. Consider transportation and the already overly- busy baseline road.
