Parents, neighbors, alumni and kids across the district asked BVSD to vote no on its school-closure plan. BVSD approved it 5–2 on September 22. Here’s one voice:

I am the parent of three former Douglass students and neighbor to countless others who enjoyed the benefits of a neighborhood school. We bought our home 24 yrs ago to be a part of this neighborhood where as parents we would get to know and live amongst the parents of our kid's classmates, and our kids would flourish being part of a community where they went to school and lived amongst their friends and classmates. I am a resident of Indian Peaks West.
