I am deeply concerned about what will be lost in the closing of Mesa and the consolidation with Bear Creek. Besides losing the community and culture that is so valued at Mesa, the overcrowding, teacher disruptions, large class sizes, and reduced individual attention will significantly degrade the education and experience of our students. Right now, the students at Mesa and Bear Creek are both getting a great education and have small sustainable class sizes. Maxing out the building capacity at Bear Creek will not increase educational opportunities, but rather leave our kids to get lost in the crowd. Our two round school is serving our kids well and we do not need a 3 round school to have a strong well rounded education for them. We certainly don't want to see our kids lost in the chaos of a 32 student classroom.
