Parents, neighbors, alumni and kids across the district asked BVSD to vote no on its school-closure plan. BVSD approved it 5–2 on September 22. Here’s one voice:

It is our responsibility to maintain community and public spaces for our children- especially one as important as a neighborhood school. The projected future enrollment as justification for closure diminishes the importance of continuity and community for current children enrolled and ignores the fact that there has been more young families and new babies in the neighborhood over the past couple years.
