Parents, neighbors, alumni and kids across the district asked BVSD to vote no on its school-closure plan. BVSD approved it 5–2 on September 22. Here’s one voice:

My son attended Douglass and had an amazing experience with fabulous teachers. Douglass is our neighborhood school, and it breaks my heart that my neighbors' kids wouldn't have the same opportunity. I encourage the BVSD board to come up with a different solution to declining enrollment.
