Write to the Board →Raised two kids in Boulder. Mapleton Elementary was closed just before our first got there. He and his sister attended Flatirons, Casey and BHS. Best education at all levels. School closures are difficult in a variety of ways, especially neighborhood schools. That is where you spend the most years and build your community. Boulder is a place that cycles enrollment, like ours. We moved to Mapleton when it was more of an age it neighborhood. A couple years after the closer, Mapleton would have been too small for the number of new young families that moved in. Sad to see these schools with talented staff always fear closer.
