My grandchildren attended Douglass and I volunteered there. It has been an important focal point of their community — one which has no “downtown” focus. Also, I understand Douglass has an unusually high percentage of students who require specialized programs and are particularly vulnerable to disruption. What’s the impetus for targeting this particular school over others?
