There is no clear or communicated plan for maintaining a commitment to special needs students, bilingual student pathways, or school models with high performance records (like K8 and SAC). Closing award winning schools makes no sense. Closing (Reorganizing) a school like Douglas (or Birch) with immense investment in the building safety and the staff qualifications is irresponsible. Healthy children require healthy buildings and appropriately skilled educators.
