Dear Members of the BVSD Board of Education, We respectfully ask you to vote no on the Resilient Schools proposal and keep Mesa Elementary open. We understand that the district is facing difficult decisions. However, our community ask you to prioritize the needs of students and the well-being of the communities these schools serve. Mesa provides our children with stability, belonging, meaningful relationships, and a learning environment where they are known and supported. These qualities cannot be measured simply through enrollment numbers or building capacity. Closing a neighborhood school would create significant disruption for students, families, and staff. Please listen carefully to the communities most affected and pursue solutions that preserve their connections and educational experience. I urge you to vote no on the proposal and protect Mesa Elementary.
