The proposal puts bilingual education in Boulder Valley school District at a disadvantage. It is public knowledge that a decision on bilingual schools in the district will not be made for another year. This delay of a decision for the bilingual schools negatively affects bilingual education enrollment for this coming year (as people will be dissuaded from choosing bilingual schools because of the uncertainty.)
