Closing schools should be an extreme last resort. We have not yet reached last resort status. While it's easy to take refuge in data, schools are not a quantitative issue. Closing these school has a very real negative human impact on hundreds or thousands of your constituents, neighbors, and friends. These decisions are not to be taken lightly and the speed at which this was conceived of, proposed, and is being voted on does not match the gravity of the consequences. These issues need more time, more discussion, more proposals, and more care. The kids deserve it. Do the right thing and vote NO on the Resilient Schools Proposal as currently presented.
