Write to the Board →As a parent we experienced the closure of Mapleton Elementary and Baseline Middle School when our daughter was set to attend both schools. It was a huge disruption to her education to start new schools at a critical time in her social and learning development. It also required us parents to drive her from Sunshine Canyon to east Boulder to attend the schools that replaced her neighborhood school. Please do not close Flatirons Elementary and honor the 15 minute neighborhoods so emphasized by the leaders of Boulder.
