Email BVSD Board →I have been part of the BVSD community for more than 20 years. During that time, I have worked as a substitute teacher and had the opportunity to work with Douglass in various capacities. Over these years, I have witnessed firsthand the many benefits of being part of this wonderful community and have been fortunate to experience the strong connections that make Douglass so special. As a social worker, I have also seen how significant disruptions can affect, and in many cases dismantle, communities. This proposed plan represents a major upheaval for the Douglass community and has the potential to create lasting impacts, not only for our students, but also for their families, parents, and staff. These relationships and connections matter, and the potential consequences of disrupting them should be carefully considered.
