Write to the Board →Like most of the community, I was on the edge of my seat listening to the recommendations. I'm grateful that my kids are at Centaurus, so I knew that our family wouldn't be personally affected with a closure or consolidation. But I am a UPK preschool teacher in Louisville, so we know many children who are at the BVSD schools that were potentially going to be affected. Many of our preschool parents in Louisville/Superior had attended the engagement sessions and, while we were all worried and watchful, we recognized the reality of the situation and spoke highly of BVSD's process to thoughtfully consider the impact and ensure that parents and the community was heard. I am signing this petition because I think the Douglass community deserves to have the same opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings about this potential decision.
