Write to the Board →Please reconsider the closure of Douglass Elementary School in such an untimely manner and without sufficient notice or warrant. Two of my grandchildren are daily so enthralled with their classes and their school. I’ve personally visited there multiple times and have seen the dedication to students and teaching. From the news story, this doesn’t make sense to uproot these students when it will cost the community much more to do so. Families are deeply invested in Douglass and this is an emotional decision that will affect them greatly.
