Our boys attended Flatirons Elementary and walking to school with parents & classmates was fundamental to their development. Being a part of a neighborhood means knowing & supporting each other and gives our children a sense of self. All things our children desperately need growing up in an increasingly connected digital world yet disconnected social and natural world. Let’s think outside the box and use this amazing community resource to it greatest potential. Maybe allocate the extra space to early childhood care, afterschool programs, the arts &/or senior support. Schools build character and neighborhood schools are essential. Let’s not waste money shuttering and shuffling our children across town. Flatirons is a community building that builds the future. Please consider Saving Flatirons!!
