Parents, neighbors, alumni and kids across the district asked BVSD to vote no on its school-closure plan. BVSD approved it 5–2 on September 22. Here’s one voice:

As a Douglass alumni, I can vouch for the fact that the Douglass community and staff has served me well in middle school and high school. I feel fully prepared. Additionally, I am still really connected with all of my friends and acquaintances from the six years I spent at the amazing school. I think this decision needs to be more thoroughly evaluated.
