You are scheduled to vote on September 22 on a proposal that still doesn’t answer basic questions our families need: transportation, program continuity, staffing, and timelines. The district has told us these answers will come AFTER a decision is made (Q&A on 8/31). That’s backwards. Families are being asked to trust a multi-year transition plan before we know what it actually involves. So here is what I’m asking this Board to understand: if you vote yes on September 22, we will treat that vote as this Board’s public commitment — not ours — to deliver those answers on a fixed, published timeline. Not vague assurances. A date. I’d ask each of you, before that vote, to say clearly what you understand a “yes” to obligate this district to do — and by when. We are not asking you to slow down forever. We’re asking that a “yes” vote come with accountability attached, in public, on the record with transparency - so that families aren’t left waiting indefinitely for information we should have had before being asked to accept this plan.
