Write to the Board →Basic questions need to be answered before a final decision is made. Either these details have not yet been fully considered or they have not been adequately shared with the public. For example, regarding the proposed consolidation of Mesa Elementary with Bear Creek: * How many classrooms does the Bear Creek building have, and will there be enough space for at least 18 K–5 classes, specials such as Art and Music, special education programs, and any planned preschool? * Will all Mesa and Bear Creek students continue to have their classes in a safe, secure school building, as they do now? Or will some classes require trailers or other temporary facilities? If adequate space is not available, why not postpone the move until appropriate facilities are in place? Constituents deserve to be fully informed and listened to before their representatives vote. The process should happen in that order: inform the public, listen to the public, then vote.
